Exhibitions in Calpe: The stamps fair “Exficalp” |

| On Friday, 2 December 2011, the opening of several exhibitions in Calpe took place. Among them for all stamps lovers, a very interesting stamps fair, the “Exficalp” was held until 10 December. It was located as every year in the Saló Blau, the exhibition hall of the Casa de Cultura close to accommodations in Calpe and organized by the Agrupación Filatélica y Numismática, the association of stamps and coins of Calpe. As the fair was celebrated during the bank holidays on 6 and 8 December a wide program was prepared for these days. There was for example for all stamps fanatics a stamps market in the morning of the bank holidays outside the Casa de Cultura. During the whole fair, guides and lectures about different topics were offered to the visitors in order to get a closer view and even further information. The Spanish post has released a special stamp with the logo „Peix de Calp“ on it in order to promote the consume of fish of the bay in Calpe. It can be used to send letters within Spain. Apart from the stamps fair there was a series of other impressive exhibitions to be attended and that attracted visitors to come to Calpe and stay there at accommodations in Calpe. For instance until 3 of January 2012 there is another exhibition in the Aula Pedro Pastor about the 25th national poster competition and one about the 8th national photo competition of the Moors and Christians. You can go there and admire the work and creations of the winners of the competitions. Furthermore, on 12 December until 12 January the phenomenal results of the Foto Club Ifach are presented in the exhibition hall. For those who are passionate about photography and the club members this association has recently created a new website offering the great possibility to publish own photos there. At the moment there is a competition held called “Peix de Calp”. It is about topics such as fishing, boats, sea products, gastronomy and buildings related to the sea and fishing. The photos can still be admired until 21 June in an office in the local town hall, a perfect opportunity to spend a few days in accommodations in Calpe. Moreover, there are vouchers that can be won of a value of 100 to up to 250 euro. |
